So here i sit, in Java, the campus coffee shop. iPod and iBook in hand, just finished up my midterm paper for Theological Investigations. I think I did pretty well... but we'lll let Dr. Mann decide that one. It's a huge weight off my shoulders though. Really, this paper had been making me cranky. Yesterday, I found a stick and just started hitting my room mates with it. Needless to say, they weren't too thrilled. True story. I called it my 'motivation stick.'
I have a lab report to finish up after class today. A european term meeting at 6. and I want to go the Bent River for $2 taco baskets...but i don't think any of the roomies wanna go. maybe doug.
I got to level 70 in bubble bobble the other day, but have yet to go back and finish it off. i'm gonna try to make my way through all my nintendo games in honor of Mike Sherry.
I have those stupid adidas sandals with the little massage dibbits (i dunno what else to call them) but a bunch have fallen off under my big toes, and it just isn't comfortable anymore. and i mean, i usually wear shoes all the time anyway, but recently i've run out of socks, and rather than sweatify my shoes, i've just gone to sandals, which is sad cos i have ugly toe nails.
well, Operating Systems is about to start, so i best be off. I think I get to dick around with Linux today, which prolly means i'll leave class early. Have a good one.

So i came home for a few days for easter. Since I attend a lutheran liberal arts college, we had friday and monday off, woohoo four day weekend. It was good to see the fam. Went out for a beer with my dad for the first legal time in the U S of A. I pet sitting Jovie the ferret for Meagan, since her parents don't know she has her. She's been a blast, though quite stinky (like owner, like pet) If there are any crazy spelling mistakes in here, it's cos she's playing on the keyboard while i type. I think it's cute. She kind of reminds me of Doug, cos if there is a hole, she's try and ge`1t in it. (<-- yea, that was her) she loves walking on the f11 key. crazy weasle.

im not a huge sports fan, but i've been watching most of the ncaa tourny since the sweet 16, and man, these games have been amazing. really make me want to get back to laying basketball. so i've decided tuesday and thursday nights, 9-11, will be basketball nights. (sorry v-ball, you hurt my back too much) HAHA, the weasle just fell off the desk!
well, i guess that's all i've got for now. headin back to school around 4, then gonna do homework, hopefully make it to the gym, cos i've done nothing these past few days. oh hey, looks like the ferret also filled in my music and mood for me.

Got home for easter break today. i guess not all school have time off for this, but then again, i do go to a lutheran college. i'm not gonna complain about a four day weekend.
after a nice drive home to My Chemical Romance, Bright Eyes, Incubus, and Killswitch Engage, i ate sushi with my dad and sis. Went out to the Tracks (local Cary bar) with my dad and had a few beers and chatted. That was really cool, and really good to just talk with him, since it's usually my mom i chat with on the phone while at school.
I think i'm gonna go shopping and out to lunch with my sis and her friend heather tomorrow. hopefully out and about with anyone who is home tomorrow night. i think some school friends are commin up on saturday, do dinner and a movie with them or something.
I'm pet sitting for miss Meagan Franko this break. Jovi the ferret is living in my room. my sister loves her. she's so damn cute (jovi, not Lis)
the 80's party was a huge success. look at us have fun!!!

Let's see now, where did i leave off...ah yes, i was just about to take my last final. woo boy, alot has happened since then. spring break, new classes, parties, and so much more in the cracks. i guess i'll just start up with spring break and end somewhere along nowish. i'll try and keep you entertained with those clever little pictures i know you love. here goes...
Surfside Beach, SC, about 10 minutes away from Myrtle Beach. Everyone who is anyone has heard of mrytle beach and they think surf babes and sandy beaches , but let me tell you, when you're spring break falls about two weeks before the rest of the nations, all you see down there are two things. We made the most of it though, went out to some bars and clubs. got shit faced in our resort room playing a new drinking game we created called "is it vodka or is it rum ?" and lemme tell ya, by the end of the game, i had no clue which was which
Doug got a sensual massage from a balding 40 year old man. he insists that there was no "happy ending" We also played a TON of minigolf. there are some mad wicked courses down there. viking sweet.
the car trips were 17 hours both directions respectively, and by the time we got back to rock island, the four of us never wanted to be in my car together again.
so then new classes started up for spring term. man, i love all my classes. Operating Systems (your traditional computer science class), Bio 101 (busy work...same stuff i did freshman year...of highschool) and Theological Investigations (this class is gonna blow my socks off. you guys from home know those deep religious discussions we get into? well, that is this class, to a T)
Last friday was my 21st birthday, i celebrated it right.
since spring term is when all the pledging goes down with the sororities and fraternaties, all the independent kids are left without parties for the first five weeks. well, we've decided to change that. after the massive success of our first party we've decided to through a few more. these weekend we've got an 80's theme planned, we'll see how it goes.
for now, i'm off to buy subway and watch a movie. hope you enjoyed.

Two finals down, two to go. I have one in about 20 minutes, and then my last one tomorrow morning at 9. So far, all has gone well. I've studied relatively hard, which means about two hours per topic. My studying isn't very effective anyway. It's mostly listening to music and looking at the people around me. But it's ok, because I tend to retain the knowledge from classes rather well. Which i guess is also interesting as i don't pay much attention in lectures. I think this just means that I am a genius.
Funny how most people spell genius with an added 'o'. oh well, never everyone can be a grammatical wizard.
I sure am looking forward to this term being finished. Classes have been a bitch, actually requiring my attention and countless hours at Java (local coffee place) doing homework/socializing. Java was really the only time i got out this term though. Most of the weekend parties were either at our place, or at a friend's place. Didn't hit up a single random house party this term i don't think. Granted it was winter and i hate the cold, but i'm starting to miss being so social. Spring term should be better...once all the pledging shit dies down. I don't think the school realizes how lonely it is for us non-greek people. Altough, a good portion of my buds are independent so it all works out.
Finally found a video game to keep me entertained for more than a few days (well, i'm assuming, as i've only had it for two, but it's already much better than anything i've played in a while) I wonder if/when i'll grow out of video games. I mean, i'm sort of in the first generation to really grow up with them. so maybe i'll never grow out of them.
as i sit here in olin (the computer building) waiting for 3 o'clock to hit, there is a large math problem (or at least what appears to be one) worked out on the board. at the end it says "= no god" and so there ya have it.
i think i'm gonna try to spice these entries up a little bit in the style of the erbachs with fun little picture links....if i can figure out how to do that.

i love my iBook. it's 3 years old and still keeps up with everything i need to do. however, everything i WANT to do is a different story. which is why i'm buying a new iMac G5 come that second paycheck this summer (1st paycheck is buying a new guitar)
