i tell you what, anyone who says camping sucks...sucks. we went camping this past weekend and it was amazing. too much to even tell. but there was skinny dipping, bbqing, volleyball in the water, tubing, and the weather was impeccable. I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. i think we plan on making this an annual event, which sucks, cos thats only once a year. and i want to do it more. met some cool new people, kinda sad i’ll only see them once a year. actually, i might see some of them on august 20th for some floating down a river and getting drunk fest thing. that would be cool. but for now, im going to sleep, every part of my body hurts.

blown up purple cow

i hope everyone had as successful 4th as i did. the erbach's had a splediforous party complete with romping around in a pool for a couple hours, the eating various grilled meats, then we got out the fireworks. Mr. E had made a trip to some far off land to purchase some pretty shnazy explosives. I also had an 8 pound bag of various fare hazards stored away in my closet which we brought out. oh yea, and a i brought a stuffed purple cow. man did the get the shit blown out of him. that cow looks like a burned toasty purple cow now...with a lot less stuffing. anywho, some little kid had claws and i have a cut going down the length of my spine from playing 500 in the pool. later, we all migrated to Karl's for a little more pool and beers and drinking games. it was good times. i have bruised ribs from diving after frisbees in his pool. all in all, it was a pretty killer 4th. and man did i not need the government to have fun! (i don't know what that means) oh and wanna hear something crazy, i talked to steve down in Ecuador, apparently they held anti-USA rallies on the 4th. haha, good thing people like us (damn bush).

the road less traveled

today i went with a bacon egg and cheese sandwich instead of the normal bagel. it was a pleasant change, but i htink i shall revert back to the bagel for it is far less greasey. Sailing was amazing, I plan on going out as often as Karl will allow for the rest of the summer. Guess what!!!! Our boss told Dave and I that we didn't need to come in tomorrow (Friday) so FOUR DAY WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOOOOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!wait, that got out of hand. ok, maybe i should do some work today, all i ever do here is point out the flaws in our boss's program, wait for him to fix them, then point out more. he's fixing rightn ow, so i ahve nothing to do. :(

cycling through an inept mind

i chose to go with some 'chai' tea this morning in stead of the traditional green. not the best decision i've ever made, but not one that will haunt me either. bagel was phenomenal as usual. i think i'm going sailing today with karl, dave, and susanne. thats gonna be awesome, what better way to end a day of work than relaxing on a yacht (so its not really a yacht, but doesn't it sound classy) you know whats no fun? reading journal entries about something serious and not knowing whats going on. i've read three different people's entries today that have made me wonder 'what are they going through, and why put it on here instead of actually talking about it?' oh well, they probably are actually talking about it, just not to me. fourth of july better be nice, the erbachs are having a little shin dig, which is always good. i like those cats. mmmmm meat. good BBQ and lots of fireworks, someone will lose a finger this year, guaranteed.

got some bad news the other day. Turns out there is a screamo band called "circle takes the square" which is far to close to our supposedly original name "circle gets the square" so we must change it. at least we haven't really even made a name for ourselves yet^^ we are thinking either "Topwise" or "Davenport" let me know what you think, or if you have any other suggestions.

peace.

How about the Ying Yang Twins? Or the Dane's Mom Experience? Or Livewire?

I say Davenport, because well, Iowa is just an awesome state and the name Topwise reminds me of Pennywise...just a thought, good work.

How about Ambrosia? Or Sonic Death Monkey(Jack Black's band from High Fidelity)? I am bursting with creativity.

tell a tale of despairation

twas the eve of destruction and all through the land sat young men thinking about how they could change the world, Shouting to the stars and waiting for responses as the rain began to fall and drip down their cheeks like the tears they'd cried the night before but no one really listen whilst sorrows washed and worn away by sandy gusts as leaves decayed and the poignancy of death became all to apparent though the young men never left their apartments till the day of their wedding to see her waiting as pure as the day she was born yet as he approached the lump in his throat rose for he saw it was not him standing there but a reflection of what he wanted but could never quite reach as his arms outstretched and his spine disconnected rendering his legs numb and heart exploding with the thought of the woman who had loved him so dearly but it all came to him now so utterly clear that this was indeed the best day of the year.

deep nonsense

so i started thinking about deep nonsense and i do believe that i changed my mind, if we ever have a music video, we all need to be in a car thats just going up and down; but we also need ron jeremy wearing a shirt that says the missing link, swirling his penis around; i cant figure out if i would want that spliced throughout the video or just at the begining or end or both, you probably dont need me to tell you this, but this is a very important, pressing issue. good luck to all who try and solve it.

these bagels at work must be made by god

Posted: 2004-06-23 08:54:00

I love the bagels here. every morning i get an everything bagel with creamcheese and a cup of hot water to make my tea in. its $1.22 and i like that. the bagels are always soft, slightly warm, and brusting with flavor and freshness. the only thing i like better at work is the foosball at lunch. Today though, i found that they had sliced all the bagles, which really screwed with my chi. you see, i am a fan of the rip and dip when it comes to bagels. i don't like that 'spreading' BS that america pushes on its youths. but i coped, and i ate, and i enjoyed, and now, almost 2 hours after getting to work, i must actually start to do some work. i bed you good day.
